This month, WT Group is shining a spotlight on members of our engineering team. Each one exemplifies the essence of engineering - a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the satisfaction of seeing ideas materialize into reality. With a passion for innovation and a dedication to excellence, they continue to make significant contributions to their engineering fields.
My journey into engineering began with my education at Harper College, where I pursued an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering. This laid a solid foundation for me to further my studies at Northern Illinois University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
What do you like about Engineering?
What I like most about engineering are the variety of projects that come my way. I particularly enjoy the calculations involved and witnessing the tangible results of my designs being installed.
Describe your career path:
Engineering has always fascinated me since childhood, especially as I aspired to join my family's business and follow in their footsteps.
What exciting projects have you worked on?
One project that stands out for me is the design of a Cold Storage Facility, which was particularly challenging due to its extensive nature and the requirement to adhere to LEED standards. It demanded a meticulous approach to design and implementation, and seeing it come to fruition was incredibly satisfying.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job would be seeing the completion of a project, as well as the opportunity to offer assistance and tackle challenges when issues arise.
