WT Group has announced the promotion of Jim Glascott, P.E., CPESC, from Project Manager to Principal-in-Charge of the firm’s Civil Engineering Practice Area, effective January 1, 2023. Jim began his 16-year career with the WT Group as a Project Engineer, rising within the ranks to the role of Senior Project Engineer. His achievements have included key contributions to the WT Group organization and its clients overseeing site design for commercial development, education, park district, and transportation projects. Over the years, Jim has successfully managed hundreds of park district, educational and gas station projects.
Recently, Jim spearheaded complex projects, such as the Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Lanes) flood mitigation project and Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School design. His leadership of storm water modeling studies and company permitting efforts has represented major contributions to the WT Group’s suite of client and community services. In addition, Jim played a key role in the implementation of ProductivityNOW, an innovative WT Group eLearning platform delivering training courses aimed at driving employee development.
In his new role, Jim will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Civil Practice, in addition to contributing to the design and implementation of best practices, company vision, strategy, processes and procedures. Jim will report directly to Todd Abrams, Executive Vice President of the Accessibility, Civil, Land Survey, and Design & Program Management Practice Areas.
