Hoffman Estates, Illinois, December 3, 2018 (Newswire) – Rich Klarck has been appointed Principal-in-Charge of the Aquatic Engineering Practice for the Hoffman Estates-based WT Group, a leading design, engineering and consulting firm serving clients across the U.S. In his new role, Klarck will oversee and direct all aquatic design projects for clients of the company’s growing Aquatic Engineering Practice.
“We are very pleased to have someone with Rich’s vast experience on our team,” said WT Group Chief Operating Officer Troy Triphahn. “Aquatic Engineering is a very specialized practice in design and engineering, one in which the only true path to excellence is through experience. Rich brings the strength of three decades of proven knowledge to our organization.”
Klarck joins the WT Group from a previous role as Lead Aquatic Engineer at Williams Architects / Aquatics, a position he held for seven years. Earlier, Klarck held Aquatic Engineering consulting roles with several firms around the nation and managed his own consulting business. He has earned several awards in the unique field, which specializes in the design and execution of swimming pools, swim schools, aquatic parks and water features, partnering with architects in facilities design.
Klarck is taking over for Jim Lueders, who is retiring from an Aquatic Engineering leadership role he has held with WT Group since 2002.
“I am honored to be taking up the baton from someone of Jim’s vast experience in Aquatic Engineering,” Klarck said. “And I’m especially pleased to be taking on responsibilities with a firm like the WT Group, which has earned a reputation for excellence in Aquatic Engineering with some truly exceptional projects. I’m looking forward to many new and exciting challenges with a market leading player in this specialized discipline.”
Stephen Triphahn, WT Group Chief Executive Officer, also announced that Ryan Difatta and Tyler Dailey, PE, have accepted Principal positions within the Aquatic Engineering Practice team. Difatta will lead the Aquatics team at the Hoffman Estates headquarters, while Dailey will lead the firm’s Chicago satellite office.
