The foundation was established in 2007 by then WT Group CEO Scott Triphahn. Its mission is to provide scholarships to students seeking engineering degrees and to donate to cancer research.
“Over the years we have supported numerous students with college scholarships and given thousands of dollars to cancer research; all in fulfillment of my father’s goal for the foundation,” said Troy Triphahn, COO,WT Group. “We look forward to this event every year and spend many hours meticulously planning it. We want it to be the most fun you can have while raising money for a charitable cause. The Foundation makes a difference in peoples’ lives and that is made possible only by the people who attend and our loyal, generous sponsors.”
The Nine, Wine & Stein event is the WT Foundation’s biggest fundraiser. Last year the event was the most successful in recent memory, raising more than $4,000 for the foundation. Two $1,500 scholarships were given to Cate Fitzgerald and Zachary Gold, both students at James B. Conant HighSchool pursuing an engineering degree. Save the date and plan on joining us for a great day of golf, wine, beer, music and maybe bragging rights for the fun you will have on the golf course.
