Throughout the national emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic, WT Group professionals have been committed to providing clients with uninterrupted service and transparent communication. We are proud of the jobs our team members have done under the challenges of remote working as we have focused on the safety and well-being of our clients, employees and their families and communities at this difficult time.
As society begins to reopen in phases based upon scientific data and the ongoing need to ensure health safety for our employees and clients, the WT Group will undertake a series of steps to adapt our business processes and services to the “new normal.”
In the days ahead, we are welcoming employees to return to the office subject to their individual situations and comfort levels. When they do, they will find that our offices have been prepared in accordance with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) “10 Tips to Protect Employees’ Health,” including frequent workspace and facility sanitation, physical distancing, mask usage and other steps aimed at helping to reduce the spread of infection.
We will continue to minimize face-to-face contacts between our employees internally and during consultations with clients in keeping with physical distancing recommendations issued by the CDC and public health agencies. Meetings in our offices with non-employees will be prohibited until further notice. Our employees will be encouraged to continue to use phone calls, teleconferencing and web conferencing for external meetings. We will also continue to ban non-essential travel for work and will recommend one person per vehicle for essential travel unless all passengers are wearing masks.
These are just a few of the steps the WT Group will be taking in the weeks and months ahead to help keep our employees, clients and their family members safe from COVID-19 as our nation’s scientists and healthcare experts work tirelessly toward the development of a vaccine and effective treatments for this difficult and perplexing illness.
To say that these times are challenging is certainly true, but to say that this pandemic is unprecedented would be inaccurate. A century ago, our nation dealt with a global influenza pandemic that caused tremendous disruption to our society and economy. But working together, America emerged from that public health crisis to build the most vibrant and successful economy the world has ever seen.
Once again, the commitment and dedication of American workers will help our society rise above the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, recover from the current stress and disruption, and restore our nation’s economic health and resilience. The WT Group and its employees are committed to playing an important role in that process.
Please be safe, look after the health and safety of your families, and follow basic CDC recommendations.
Stay well,
Troy Triphahn
Chief Operating Officer
