Well, we made it! Another winter is behind us, and at WT Group we are looking ahead to the many great opportunities springing up in the months to come. And as any skilled gardener will tell you, fostering successful growth takes the right tools and expertise in the hands of the right people. And that’s where the engineering team at WT Group really blossoms!
In this issue, you’ll meet four of WT Group’s top engineering professionals making names for themselves in our Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, MEP, and Telecommunications practices. We also report on the first combined leadership meeting of executives from WT Group and draft Pros. And speaking of blooms, we’ll update you about WT Group’s attendance at The Children’s Advocacy Center’s 2024 Annual Bloom event.
As they say, spring has sprung … so let’s get busy cultivating new projects and opportunities!
As always, thank you for your interest in the WT Group.
Troy N. Triphahn
President, WT Group
This month, WT Group is shining a spotlight on members of our engineering team. Each one exemplifies the essence of engineering - a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the satisfaction of seeing ideas materialize into reality. With a passion for innovation and a dedication to excellence, they continue to make significant contributions to their fields.
"What I like most about engineering is the problem-solving aspect. I tend to see something new with every project and that provides a growth opportunity in both knowledge and experience."
"It's fun to see the inner workings of things and to find out how structures function. Every building and structure is different."
"The most rewarding part of my job would be seeing the completion of a project, as well as the opportunity to offer assistance and tackle challenges when issues arise."
"It feels good to know we are doing our part to mitigate flooding and other possible storm water issues that can come with developing new sites all around us."
Last month, leaders from draft Pros and WT Group gathered for their FIRST-EVER combined Leadership Retreat! Together, we celebrated the incredible achievements of 2023 and set our sights even higher for 2024. It was a day filled with inspiration, collaboration, and a shared vision for our collective success. As we move forward, united and determined, we're excited for the journey ahead. Read more about how our team will continue to innovate, collaborate, and lead the way towards unprecedented success.
WT Group was proud to provide the MEP and HVAC services for an existing 71,000 square foot warehouse converted into an ice rink. Learn more about the project and the extensive steps that were taken to ensure this state-of-the-art facility was ready to pack the stands for major tournaments and events, complete with an on-site restaurant.
WT Group was honored to attend the Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County's (CAC) annual BLOOM event as a Magnolia Sponsor. This year, the event focused on sharing advocacy stories, with Assistant State’s Attorney Heather Kent as the keynote speaker. We are proud to support CAC's mission to empower and heal those who have experienced abuse, and to prevent violence against children.
