And you can bet that not even high gasoline prices will keep Americans from hitting the “Holiday Road!” When they do, they will find the old paradigm of the corner gas station has transformed into modern, multifunction convenience retailers like Gas N Wash in Mokena, Illinois, which underwent a major redesign managed by WT Group. Solar power fuels gas stations with greener energy and cost savings
Energy prices have only been on the rise each year. For retailers, like gas stations that are open 24/7, this can lead to a significant cost of electricity. From running gas pumps to commercial refrigerators and keeping the lights on day and night, as you can imagine, the utility bills are high. This brings up an important question for gas station owners and fuel brands: how can you save on energy costs and maximize profitability?
As customers continue to evolve, so does the fuel retail landscape
As customer demands evolve, so does the fuel retail landscape. As we’ve seen during the pandemic, with people driving less to the office, shopping behavior has changed too. With those changes, we’ve seen two types of customers that will shape the next generation of fuel retail and convenience stores.
This project consisted of approximately 3 acres, with many different uses included within one project. This site included a 4,000 square foot convenience store, 12 fueling positions, a drive-thru for a food tenant, a 140 foot, high-volume tunnel carwash, and a second phase planned for a dedicated diesel fueling area.
