What motivated you to apply for an internship at WT Group?

I had a chance to talk with WT Group at my school’s career fair. The projects sounded really interesting, and the recruiters were very genuine and kind. That is what led me to apply for an internship.

What was your favorite project or task?

I had the opportunity to help model a residence in Tennessee using Revit. It was really interesting to see the process of plans starting from scratch and eventually getting sent out for permit.

What new skills did you gain during your time with us?

Over the summer, I gained more experience using Revit. I have also learned how to use and navigate RISA applications, which was previously new to me.

How do you think this internship has prepared you for your future career?

I am really happy for the hands-on experience with software that I will continue to use throughout my career.

Are there any particular tools or technologies you have become proficient in or enjoyed working with?

I have gotten a lot of experience modeling in Revit, which I have enjoyed very much. I also liked working with RISA software to perform calculations.

How do you think this experience will influence your career path?

I think that interning with the Structural Engineering department at WT Group confirmed that this is what I want to do for my career.

Do you have any advice for future interns at WT Group?

Try to soak up as much information as you can. You are going to learn a lot!
