Cabin Nature Center

The now demolished Cabin Nature Center was opened in 1979. The Cabin included a program center, museum and nature center. On site includes the White Oaks Nature Trail for walking, jogging and biking, as well as a dog-friendly park. The WT Group was hired to provide Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Engineering services for the demolition of the old cabin and new construction of an activity and nature building for the Wood Dale Park District to replace the old “Cabin”. The new activity and nature center includes a large covered picnic area, large activity room with a kitchen, classroom, archive room, storage rooms, indoor toilet rooms as well as outdoor toilet rooms storage rooms.
