WT Group’s Design & Program Management team is proud to partner with global retail chain DAISO, bringing their unique shopping experience and diverse products to locations across the US! Our collaboration starts with DAISO’s real estate team to initiate the store development process, which includes laying out the proposed store and preparing a construction estimate for spaces typically ranging from 4,000 to 12,000 square feet, often situated in 2nd or 3rd generation retail locations.

Once corporate approval is secured, WT Group’s team conducts a detailed site survey and creates as-built drawings, forming the foundation for comprehensive Construction Documents, including MEP and structural plans. The permitting phase follows, with timelines varying from 4 to 6 weeks in Texas to as long as 6 months in California.

Our Project Management team manages the bidding process with DAISO’s approved General Contractors while coordinating material and signage orders from DAISO’s vendor partners. Store construction typically takes 77 days, after which the space is turned over to DAISO’s setup team to install fixtures and merchandise.

The final step in the process is DAISO’s exciting Grand Opening event.
